Were there not ten Cleansed?

And fell down on his face at his feet, giving Him thanks! and He was a Samaritan And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten Cleansed? But Where are the nine?
The passage above emphasizes on the importance of showing appreciation to God for His many blessings. It also stresses on the importante of thanking everybody Who gives to you or helps you in one way or the other, no matter how Small the gift or assistance is. What lessons Can we learn from the passage?

It is very important to give thanks to God
Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name
From the verse above, it is important to thank God or give thanks to God because it ushers us into His presence. The gates and courts of a Palace for Instance takes us into the presence of a king as Stated in the verse above.
Psalm 106.1
Praise ye the Lord, O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good for His Mercy endure forever.
From the verse above, we need to give thanks to the Lord be cause
- He is good or kind
- His mercy endures forever in other words God is full of Compassion
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything, giving thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus Concerning you.
We need to give thanks to the Lord because that is what the wants us to do. It is this desire Just as He asked the leper who came back to thank Him Were there not ten cleansed? Implies that the desires and expects us to thank Him for What He does for us.
How can we thank God?
1) Through praise Psalm 150
- Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in His Sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of His power
- Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
Thanking God through praise is the first and most Common Way of thanking God. It is also a mode of thanksgiving that God Himself has said He loves in the bible.
Psalm 22:3 Say’s God loves to inhabit the praise of His People.
When you read the rest of Psalm 150, it says you can praise God through
- Songs
- Trumpet
- Psaltery & harp
- Dancing
- Stringed instruments like
- guitar
- Cymbal
2) Through thanksgiving offerings.
Corinthians 9:10-12
Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed Sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness
Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which Causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God.
The “seed” in the passage above is referring to money or Cash. If God blesses us will Enough funds to meet our Need and even more than We need then we must learn to show our appreciation to Him by
- Giving to the poor and needy
- Giving thanks offering at church and other religious organizations.
3) Through our lips
- a) 1 Chronicles 16:34
O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever
The lips are used to praise God in various forms.
- Through words of adoration and praise showing our appreciation for what God has done for us
- Through Songs
- Through “tongues” the holy language we are blessed with during the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- b) 1 Chronicle 29:13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name
This verse like the one before is growing us how to bless or thank God with Our lips
The fact that Jesus asked for the other lepers Who did not come back to thank Him is an indication that thanksgiving is very important to God.

By Him therefore let us offer the Sacrifice of praise to God Continually, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.
Another confirmation that it is very important to praise God with our lips.
If even humans desire to be praised then God Should be praised and thanked at all times.
