We Have An Anchor
We Have An Anchor
By Evangeline Unity Esaaba Folson
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil.
Whither the fore runner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek
An Anchor is defined as a heavy object attached to a cable or chain and used to moor a ship to the sea bottom.
If we say “We have an anchor” it means we have a strong support from our heavenly Father that keeps us steady in life even when strong winds blow against us.
The message bible translation of Hebrew 6:19-20 says It’s an unbreakable Spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearance right to the very presence of God.
Where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.
Like the passage above explains, Jesus has already done all the hard work and set the pace for us to follow.

Psalm 34: 1

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
We need to bless the Lord at all times because He is good all time to believers and unbelievers.
A confirmation that God is good to believers and non-believers is the fact that
– The sun shines for the good of all mankind not only for believers.
– Air or oxygen is available for all humans not only believers. Without oxygen all humans will die in a short time.
– The rain falls to cool temperatures for all mankind and not believers only.
– The rain also refreshes animals and helps crops for food to grow for all humans.
Finally, thanking God in all circumstances is a command because that is God’s will. We are to thank Him for good and bad events because He has promised to ensure that all things work for our good (Romans 8:28)
