Plan ahead
Proverbs 6:6
Go to the ant ye sluggard. Consider its ways and be wise.
If you do not plan ahead in life, you are planning to fail. It is important to plan ahead even in your youth, for your ministry, your career, marriage, children and your old age. You plan and pray towards it.
Why does the bible use the illustration of an ant? Because the ant is a very tiny creature, carrying just a piece of food as small as bread crumbs is a herculean task. To preserve and prepare enough food for winter it has to work very hard. Yet the ant does it every year or it will starve to death in winter
Ecclesiastes 9:10 says
Whatever your do , do it with all your might…..
Jeremiah 29:11 reads
For I know the thoughts that I think towards you saith the Lord. Plans of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Emphasizes the importance of planning ahead)
In John 14:1-6 Jesus talks about going to prepare a place in heaven for us. This emphasizes the importance of planning and preparation in everything you do
As a student, worker and ambassador of Christ, plan your activities for each year and for every day ahead of time. Set targets and objectives and pray and work towards it. This will enhance your performance.
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over your activities in the past week. Identify the changes you can make to improve your performance in the coming week.
2. Pray and work towards it
Prayer
Think about the words of this hymn
In heavenly love abiding
No change my heart shall fear
And safe is such confining
For nothing changes here
The storm may roar without me
My heart may low be laid
But God is round about me
And can I be dismayed?
Amen
