Are you in the Ark or outside ?
Are You In The Ark Or Outside
By Evangeline Unity Esaaba Folson ( A.K.A Aunty Evangeline)
Genesis 8:1
And God remembered Noah and every living thing, and the cattle that was with him in the Ark: and God made a wins to pass over the earth, and the waters assuage.
The message bible Version says
Then God turned his attention to Noah and all the wild animals and farm animals with him on the ship. God caused the wind to blow and the flood waters began to go down.
In theology, Noah’s Ark has many significant meaning including:
– Salvation through grace
The ark shows that God saves people through grace or without their own effort
– The ark can symbolize the Gospel message in Several ways
– The story of Noah’s ark also points to the Lord’s justice, power, patience, kindness and faithfulness.
The question “Are you in the Ark” is therefore simply asking
1. Have you been saved?
2. Have you made preparation for life after death?
3. This world and all that is in will pass away, where do you hope to spend eternity?
To be able to answer the question above confidently you have to
– Accept the gift of salvation
Isaiah 1:18
Act 16:31
Hebrew 3:15
– Let Your light shine
Joshua 1:7
Matthew 5:16
– Bring others to Christ
Isaiah 61:1
Matthew 28:19-20
Accept the gift of salvation
Isaiah 1:18
Come now, let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as Scarlet, they shall be as white as snow ; though they be like crimson, they shall be like wool.
Act 16:31
And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house.
Hebrew 3:15
While it is said, Today if ye will hear His voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation
To accept the gift of salvation, you have to accept that you are a sinner like Isaiah 1:18 says
Your sins or crimes you may have committed may be many and serious. .In the bible there are great men/women of God who did wrong and sinned
– Abraham told a lie, he said his wife Sarah was his sister (Genesis 20:2)
– Moses committed murder and became a fugitive ( running away from the Law) ( Exodus 2:11-12)
– The Apostle Paul initially arrested Christians and had them stone to death ( Acts 8:3
– The woman at the well had five husbands ( John 4:17-18)
But when all these people repented from their sins and asked God for forgiveness He forgave then and accepted them into His kingdom.
The second verse quoted says after you repent and ask for forgiveness
Then you have to believe in the Lord Jesus and what He did on the cross for all mankind. Then you ask Him into your heart.
Like the third verse says when you hear the salvation message today, do not harden your heart and postpone your salvation to another day. As soon as you hear the salvation message surrender your life to Christ.
Let Your Light Shine
Joshua 1:7
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left that thou mayest prosper withersover thou goest
Matthew 5:16
Let your light Shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.
In the first verse quoted above God was encouraging Joshua to be strong and courageous and obey all his commands. Joshua should not deviate from any of His instructions. It takes grace and courage to obey God sometimes.
The story is told of a man who visited an African Country on behalf of his Company. He was taken to the chiefs palace. They were served with Kola nuts and alcohol. This guy had never eaten Kola nuts nor drank alcohol, he was a Christian.
This was the chiefs palace he could not refuse to take what he was served. It would be disrespectful and it will tarnish the image of his Company. He was an African too, and he understood tradition.
He took the kola nuts and the drink. It was in a dark colored glass you cannot see the content. He put the drink to his lips and pretended to be drinking and took a bite of the kola nut and put it under his tongue.
He left all the alcohol in the glass hoping it will not be detected as his. He left with the kola nuts in his hands and the bite under his tongue waiting for a safe moment to spite it out.
The second verse quoted above says we should let our lights shine. How do we make our lights shine? By doing good works, giving, sharing and helping others. We can also let our lights shine by setting a good example with our way of life. We should live according to God’s directions in His word, the bible.
Bring others to Christ
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; hath sent me to bind up the broken- hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.
Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Goat
Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Preaching the message of salvation should not be left for Ministers, Pastors, Evangelists, and other men of God.
It is a job for all Christians we have all been anointed and equiped for it as Isaiah 61:1 says
What is left is for us to take a step of faith and start preaching the message of salvation.
If you think you do not know enough verses from the bible.
You can share your salvation message story
– Who preached to you ?
– Which verses were used
– How you asked Jesus into you life
– Changes in your life from then on
By accepting the gift of salvation, you get into the ark or kingdom of God
The more we preach the word, the more people we save from destruction.
