Love lifted me!!
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
In the verse above we are assured of God’s great love for us that will save us from sin and give us eternal life.
The bible says in Romans 3:23 that
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
Scripture also says in Isaiah 64:6 that
Our righteousness is like filthy rags before God.
Meaning, even those who think they have not broken any of the 10 commandments or biblical principle are still unworthy before God because to err is human.
You may not have lied openly or borne false witness against anybody like the 10 commandments say but your thoughts about a neighbor may not be pleasing before God.
Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 13:5 that
Examine yourself, see if you are still in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates(an unprincipled person)
According to the verse above, we have to learn to search ourselves from time as students, workers and ambassadors of Christ and be honest about this. If you are deviating from the path of Christ pray for God to help you return to the path Christ taught us in the word. The love of God will lift you to where you belong.
God be with you.
Suggestions for success
1. Search yourself and ask the Spirit of God to set things right in your life.
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song
I was sinking deep in sin
Far from the peaceful shore
Very deeply stained within
Sinking to rise no more
But the Master of the sea
Heard my despairing cry
From the waters lifted me
Now I am safe.
Love lifted me
Love lifted me
When nothing else
Could help
Love lifted me
Amen.
