He is coming back

John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled!
Ye believe in God, believe also in me
In my father’s house are many mansions if it were not so’ I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Jesus assures his disciples in the passage above that He is going tto prepare a place for them. Then he will come back for them and live together with them. This is a promise not only the disciples but to all Christians and children of God. Jesus is coming back. We do not know when, but since god cannot lie, this promise will certainly be fulfilled.
What should we do as we wait for this promise to be fulfilled? We should!
 Live in constant expectation
1 Thessalonians 5;1-3
 Sanctify ourselves
1 Thessalonians 5:23
 Be alert
Mathew 24:42

Live in constant expectation
Now as to the time and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying,” peace and safety” then destruction will come upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.
We have to live in constant expectation because the coming of the lord will happen suddenly. At a time, perhaps when people are tired of waiting and expecting and have decided that it will not happen. The passage above says it will come like a thief in the night.
Thieves break into your house when you are not expecting them. Maybe on that day you would have forgotten to lock your door tightly.
Let not the coming of the lord surprise you. Constantly ensues you are studying the word, fasting praying and living a life that is pleasing to God. Never get tired of winning sounds as well. If you do not make it in the rapture, you will suffer great destruction.

Sanctify Ourselves
1 Thessalonians 5; 23
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our lord Jesus Christ.
To sanctify is to purify yourself from sin and set yourself apart for special serves to God.
As we wait for the second coming of the lord, we need to confess our sins frequently and as God to cleanse as and set as apart, ready and waiting patiently for the lord to appear.
We should not frustrate the grace upon our lives by going back to commit the same sins over and over again.
We should repent and confess our sins. Once you repent or feel sorry for committing that sin, pray for grace to stay away from that sin.

Be alert
Matthew 24: 42
Therefore, be on the alert, for you do not know which day your lord is coming.
To be alert is to be quick to notice any unusual and potentially dangerous or difficult circumstances. The bible gives us signs that would indicate that the coming of the lord is near. There are verses like Joel 2:28-30, Matthew 24 e.t.c which talk about changes in the sun and moon, remorse of war, a mighty outpouring of the spirit of god on all flesh and many more.
Watch out for these signs and prepare for the coming of the lord.it is certainly nearer now than when all those signs were written in the bible.

Conclusion
He is coming back soon. Watch and pray that you are not left out when the rapture occurs.
