NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER

ISAIAH 54:17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servant of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me saith the Lord.

This verse is trying to assure Christians or the children of God that, it does not matter how dangerous the evil plans the devil plots against us, it will not work. Satan is a defeated foe (Jesus defeated him over 2000 years ago by dying on the cross and resurrecting from the dead).

His punishment for all the evil, he has done is to burn eternally in hell’s fire. However, he does not want to suffer alone with his hosts of angels who have also been banned from heaven. His plan is to use any means, weapon or deception to snatch as many people as possible from the kingdom of God to his side.

PSALM 91:9-8 SAYS:

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand, but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

There is no need to fear because God has made provision for every child of His to escape from the deceiver’s evil plans. According to Psalm 34:19:

Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivered him out of them all.

This verse also assures us that God will deliver us from all the devil’s evil plans. No weapon formed against you shall prosper because:

You are the apple of God’s eye (Psalm 17:8)
You have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20)
You are the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3:6)
God will always cause you to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14)

YOU ARE THE APPLE OF GOD’S EYE

DEUTERONOMY 32:10

He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness, he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

The verse describes how God kept Jacob as the apple of His eye. All Christians are also part of the Spiritual Israel. Israel represents God’s people but as Christians, even gentiles(people who do not come from Israel) belong to the Spiritual Israel.

As the verse in Deuteronomy describes how God kept Jacob even in the wilderness so God protects and provides for all His children. God keeps each one of us as the apple of His eye. Everyone is special to Him and He will not allow the deceiver to destroy any of us with his wicked plans.

Do not let him deceive you, that because of your sins you do not qualify to enjoy God’s goodness.

I JOHN 1:9 SAYS:

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all righteousness.

YOU HAVE BEEN BOUGHT WITH A PRICE

I CORINTHIANS 6:20

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which is God’s.

God had to sacrifice His only begotten son who He dearly loved to save you and reconcile you to himself. This was a very expensive price to pay for your life.

I believe God would not want to lose and have to make another expensive sacrifice. Therefore, He would ensure that the devil cannot harm you with his tricks and deception.

You are precious to God and He will protect you and keep you safe.

YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD

I CORINTHIANS 3:16

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you?

You are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you. I believe God would not want to share His space with the devil. He will do all He can to prevent the devil from putting you in the bondage of his evil spirits.

You also have to pray and read your bible daily to help you grow in the Lord and to receive strength from the Holy Spirit to help you escape the devil’s traps.

GOD WILL ALWAYS CAUSE YOU TO TRIUMPH IN CHRIST

2 CORINTHIANS 2:14

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place.

This verse assures us that no matter how challenging our problems may be, God would always cause us to triumph or win the victory through Christ.

The battle is the Lord’s therefore lets turn over all our problems to God and He will help us fix them.
