What should I say when I am witnessing?
Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
There is no fixed format for presenting the message of salvation. In actual fact the situation or circumstances often determine what you should say.
For example if you are talking to someone who needs healing, you could start by saying the bible says by His (Jesus) stripes we are healed and then you continue from there.
Wherever we start from, we should not forget to add that we are all born sinners even if you think you have done no wrong like Isaiah 64:6 and Romans 3:23 says we are all sinners. We therefore need to be saved and cleansed from our sin.
Jesus died for us all and the blood He shared cleanses us from all sin and reconciles us to God.
Romans 10:9-10
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
What must we do to be saved? Romans 10:9-10 answers this question. Believe in our heart what Jesus did on the cross and confess with our mouth, salvation.
Guide your convert to confess and pray with him/her and give directions on where to fellowship to build his faith.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. The example given is just to guide you, you can use other scripture verses to present your message.
2. You start with John 3:16 or Romans 6:23 etc.
Prayer
Lord, direct me on how to preach your word. Amen.
