Wait on the Lord
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
It is easy to get exhausted and weary with trials, challenges and temptations. But the Prophet Isaiah says those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength and perform even better than before.
Waiting on the Lord I believe involves prayer , fasting (Matthew 4:2) and studying the word whilst you expect God to move on your behalf
It is important to note that as you wait you should “refrain” or stop yourself from doing things you think can resolve the issue. Be patient.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God’s timing is different from ours and the answer we need may take longer than we expect.
The verse above says God is not “slack” or slow to act but He is planning everything such that eventually all will be saved
God be with you.
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Learn to be patient in everything you do.
2. Wait for God to move in His own time.
3. As you wait, pray, fast, study the word and continue thanking God for the victory He will give you
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for the gift of another week. Help me to wait patiently for your timing in everything I do. Amen.
