This far by grace!!
Genesis 6:8
But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord

The verse above says Noah found favor in the sight of the Lord. Out of the thousands or millions of people living in his time, God selected his family and protected them from a great flood that destroyed the whole world. His family was the remnant that God used to re- create life on earth.

Grace is normally defined in biblical terms as undeserved or unmerited favor.

“This far by grace” emphasizes the fact one’s success or achievements in life has been mainly due to God’s favor.

You may be a learned man or woman, very intelligent with great social skills that could take you before kings and queens.

All these qualities listed above are good but without the favor of God, you cannot excel

Scripture says in Psalm 127:1 that

Except the Lord build the house the, the laborers labor in vain. And except the Lord watches the city. The watchmen work in vain ( paraphrased)

Meaning, without the favor or grace of God we cannot excel. Why?
Because promotion comes from the Lord.( Psalm 75:6-7)

1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain……..

This verse from the new testament shows how the Apostle Paul attributed his success as a man of God completely to the Lord.

That is what all christians must do. We have all come this far by the grace of God.

None of us can fully account for the dangers and misfortunes God has delivered us from.

COVID could have ended your life but you are still here by the grace of God. You have come this far by grace.
