The Lord will provide!!
Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.
“Jehovah Jireh” means the Lord will provide. It is the powerful name of God used about three times in the old testament. The name refers to God,’s covenant promise to His people to provide for them.
God indeed still provides for His people always even when we do not see it.
In the verse above the Psalmist says because the Lord is his shepherd or keeper, he shall not lack.
Scripture also says in Lamentations 3:22-23 that
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never will come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness.
The passage above also confirms God’s daily provision of love and mercy for His children.
The Lord will certainly provide the needs off His people on a daily basis.
Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
This verse from the new testament again confirms that God will provide all we need if we trust Him.
Lets keep trusting God.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Learn to trust God for all you need.
Prayer
Let this song be your confession and prayer
The Lord’s my shepherd
I shall not want
Daily He provides all my needs
Though I walk through the valley
He restoreth my soul
And will not let no harm befall me
Goodness and mercy
Shall follow me
All the days of my life
I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever
In the city where there comes no night
Amen
