The Lord is our portion!!
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him; and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will praise Him

In other translations of the bible, the word portion is replaced with inheritance. “The Lord is our portion” therefore means the Lord is the source of our

– Inheritance
– Security, and
– Hope

Scripture also says in Psalm 46:10 that

Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the heathen,. I will be exalted in the earth.

Meaning, God is God all by Himself. He does not need anybody to prove He is God. You can completely trust in His ability to save , restore and re- in state.

Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

This verse from the new testament highlights the fact that the Lord is a peace maker, He loves peace, and always works towards maintaining peace.

His children, that is Christians should also live and work towards restoring peace in all they do.
