Joshua 1:8
This book of law shall not depart out of your mouth But you shall meditate upon it day and night that you may be careful to do all it says. For then you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success

Reading the bible is a spiritual discipline we need to approach with care. If you lack the desire to read the bible pray.

The bible is the best book to read because as the verse above says reading and meditating on what it says and going further to obey or put it into practice brings prosperity and good success.

Scripture also says in Psalm 119:103
that

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path

Meaning, the bible is the Psalmist’s guide, it shows him what to do and how to do it.

John 15:7
If you abide in me and my word abides in you. Ask whatever you will and it shall be done unto you

This verse from the new testament could be taken as the new testament version of Joshua 1:8.

They have the same message. Read the bible and put what it says unto practice and you shall have good success or whatever you desire
