More to be desired than gold!!! [ June 6, 2024 ]
More to be desired than gold!!!
Psalm 19:10
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb
When you read two or three verses before the above scripture, that is Psalm 19:7-8. The above verse is referring to the word of God or the statutes (laws) of the Lord.
The Psalmist says in the verse above that more to be desired are they than gold. And it’s sweeter even than the honeycomb. Why?
The word of God is to be desired more than gold because it is sweeter than the sweetest thing you can think of
– It can guide you into good success and prosperity ( Joshua 1:8)
– It can direct you on what to do to receive all you need from God( Psalm 23:1)
– It can guide you on how to get the strength, resources and ability to do anything you want to do.
– You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you ( Philippians 4:13)
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
This verse from the new testament confirms that the word of God can help you do all you need to do
It can transcend through bone and marrow to transform even a heart of stone
God be with you
