Make the best of your youth
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint

You can make the best of your youthful days by studying the bible thoroughly and praying into your future.

When you are young, you have a lot of time at your disposal because you do not have too many responsibilities.

Unlike adults, you do not have to prepare your family each morning for the day, drop and pick children from school, do your own duties at work, prepare supper and make the necessary preparations for the next day etc. How do you fit in quiet time, prayer time, bible study time, soul winning time etc?

As a young man or woman you need to do a few household chores and go to school. You have a lot of spare time, memorize as many bible verses as possible you can fall on when you are older and have less time.

In addition to this pray into your future that God helps you make the right choices for your career, life partner etc .

Studying the word and praying is what the Prophet Isaiah refers to as waiting on the Lord. When you do this the Lord will give you grace and strength to excel in all you do

Adults should also learn to wait on the Lord and pray into the future as they prepare for retirement and loneliness as their children leave home.

2Timothy 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Lust is one thing that has destroyed a lot of young people. Some have ended up with teenage pregnancies and early parenting disrupting their education. Like the verse above says do not entertain lustful thoughts
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Prepare a timetable or agenda for each day.
2. Set time for prayer, bible study and soul winning.
3. Do not follow your friends to places like the night clubs, parties etc where young people drink and smoke.

Faithful God, may your name be praised at all times. Help me live to please you at all times. Amen.
