Love the Lord thy God
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might

To love the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might, I believe means you should put God first in all you do. Everything, the small issues and the big issues.

Matthew 6:33 says
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

Apart from putting God first in all we do, John 14:15 says
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Therefore to be able to love God as you are required to do:
– Put Him first in all you do
-Keep or obey His commandments.

Matthew 22:37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind.

The verse in Deuteronomy is repeated in Matthew, almost identical. Meaning, this command is very important to God. Please take note of this.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Learn to praise and worship God frequently, it draws you closer to God
Psalm100:4-5
2. Tell God about your schedule or agenda for each day and ask for help and direction.
3. Study the bible to know God’s commands and obey them
