Lord you are my strength and my song!!
Psalm 118:14
The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation

“The Lord is my strength and my shield” is a statement of redemption. The original Hebrew word translated as “song” actually means defense. Meaning, the Lord is my strength and my defense.

Our Lord gives us energy and ability ( strength) and protection ( defens). This explains the verse quoted above.

Scripture also says in Psalm 119: 11 that

Thy word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against you.

The obeying the Lord’s commands and directions in the bible keeps us away from sin and trouble. Many do not want to be Christians because to them there are too many restrictions. But living according to the word keeps us from trouble. You will not steal or murder someone to get you into prison etc

When I remember what the Lord has done, I will never go back anymore.

Whenever, you consider renouncing your faith, think about the goodness and mercy of God and never go back to your old sinful ways.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

This verse from the new testament, assures us that God can give us the ability to do everything we have to do.

When you feel you do not have the strength or ability to accomplish a task. Call on the Lord through prayer.

1. Whenever, you feel defeated or feel you are going to fail, call on the Lord.
