I have promised!!
Psalm 27:4
One thing have I asked of the Lord and that will I seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple

When you say ” I have promised” it means you have made a pledge or covenant with God. Which you will willing obey

Like the Psalmist, you may have promised to serve God all the days of your life.

This means, no matter the number of challenges you encounter in your line of duty, you will keep this promise all the days of your life

Scripture says in Revelations 2:10

……..Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life

This sounds morbid right? The first part of the verse talks about suffering hardship and being put into prison etc.

It does not necessarily mean you will be put into an actual prison but the types of temptations and trials you face will be like being in a prison.

But God quickly reassures us at the end of the verse that there is a reward, a compensation- the crown of life or eternal life

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven

This verse from the new testament says even when you face the temptations and trials

Continue to do good as a faithful soldier of Christ. Glorifying His name in all you do

The Lord never forgets His own.
God be with you
