Hope maketh not ashamed
Psalm 119:116
You uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
In the verse above, the Psalmist is asking God to let him live in spite of his circumstances.
To have hope is to have great expectations even when your circumstances are not encouraging.
He ends his appeal by saying, let me not be ashamed of my hope. In other words, do not disappoint me. God had already stated in Joshua1:5, that, he will never leave or forsake us.
Romans 5:5
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto me.
The verse above also assures us that God will not disappoint us or make us ashamed of our hope. Keep trusting God, He always keeps His word.

1. Always believe that God will not disappoint you.
2. He will not let your hope or expectation be cut off.

Loving Father, thank you for the gift of this day. Help me to trust you at all times, and let me not be ashamed of my hope. Amen.
