Grace to accomplish
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth from the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations
Like the verse from Jeremiah says, God gives each of us a mission or assignment right from the womb. Not all of us will be ordained as prophets but we have all been given assignments.
We have been sanctified and ordained or God has given us the grace to accomplish our assignments.
We should not fear that we do not have the necessary abilities we need. God has given us all we need.
Isaiah 41:10 says
Fear not, for I am with you
Be not dismayed for I am your God
I will strengthen you
I will help you
I will uphold you
With my victorious right hand
2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
This verse from the new testament also confirms that God has given us sufficient grace to accomplish our assignments as ambassadors for Christ using our special gifts and talents
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Accept and believe that God has given you grace to accomplish your assignment. Step out in faith and fulfill your mission.
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this hymn
A charge to keep I have
A God to glorify
A never dying soul to save
And fit it for the sky
To serve the present age
My calling to fulfill
Oh may it all my powers engage
To do my master’s will
Amen.
