Delight thyself in the Lord
Psalm 37:4
Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Another translation says:
Seek your happiness in the Lord and He will give you your heart’s desires.

When you are happy or pleased with someone you spend time with the person and you want to do what pleases him/her.

In the same way, when we spend time in the presence of God, reading the bible, praying and singing songs of praise and worship, we find favour with Him and He will provide our needs (desires).

John 15:7
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Furthermore, pleasing God or finding happiness in the Lord also requires that we obey the commands of God in the bible.

When we obey His commands, the word of God abides in us as the verse above says and God will provide all we need.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Study the word of God and do what it says.
2. Spend time praying, praising and worshipping God each day.

Prayer

Worship God with these words:
Lord, you are more precious than silver
Lord you are more costly than gold
Lord you are more beautiful than diamonds
And nothing I desire compares with you. Amen.
