Bigger than any other god

Isaiah 45:5-7
I am the Lord, and there is no other, beside me there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know, from the rising of the sun from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the Lord, and there is none besides me; I am the Lord and there is no other . I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the Lord who does all these things.

I wonder how many of the other gods or dieties can do the things listed in the passage above? In the book of Exodus there is an account of Pharaoh’s magicians and sorcerers creating snakes bigger than the one Moses created with his rod. To show that God is bigger than the other gods, the snake created by Moses which was smaller, swallowed all the other big snakes.

This is only one example in the bible that shows that God is bigger than any other God. Trust God and love Him with all your heart, and all your mind and all your soul.

1 Timothy 6:15-16
He who is blessed and sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honour and eternal dominion.

There are great rewards and blessings for all those who serve God faithfully. Do not deprive yourself of a future in heaven, accept the gift of salvation today and live for the Lord.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Decide today to live according to what the bible directs us to.
2. Obey all God’s commands and live a life that will draw others to God.

Prayer
Great and Mighty God, you are bigger than any other god. Help me to live a life that would draw others to you. Amen.
