Are you ready?
Zephaniah 2:14-15
The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of waste and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness.
I do not want to scare anybody but I just want to take our minds off the messages of prosperity, good health, and asking for things that only make our life here on earth comfortable. Like the Prophet, Zephaniah says the great and terrible day of the Lord is coming. Are you ready?
Acts 2:20-21 also says
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
This message is almost the same as the verse in Zephaniah. It is also repeated in Joel 2:31-32.
It is time to put aside our differences and petty squabbles and preach the gospel as never before to save as many as possible. It is only those that call on the name of the Lord (Christians) that will be saved on that day. Always remember that.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. First of all, make sure you repent of your sins and are saved.
2. Dedicate your life, time, energy, and money to preaching the word of God and saving the lost.
3. Study the word of God to make you a good preacher.
4. Pray for God to help you stay away from sin and do His will.
Prayer
Lord God, I bless and praise your holy name. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to you and prepare me for the great and terrible day of the Lord.
