All I really want!!
Psalm 150
…. let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.

King David is described in the bible as a man after God”s own heart. ( 1Samuel 13:14) Why?

– He knew how to be
Obedient to God’s word

– He was willing to accept his faults and repent

– He knew how to express his love and thanksgiving to God.

The playing of his harp accompanied by songs gave him favor with King Saul and he invited him to live in the palace. He wrote most of the Psalms including the one quoted above.

“All I really want! ” means is this is my utmost desire. In Psalm 150, the Psalmist’s utmost desire is to praise God. What is your utmost desire?

Scripture also says in Psalm 27:4 that

One the have I asked of the Lord and that will I seek after, To dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.

Apart from praising God, the Psalmist also wants to serve God all the days of his life.

Romans 12:1
I urge you therefore brethren to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is your reasonable service.

This verse from the new testament urges us to present our bodies as living sacrifices to the Lord. This also is another way of saying, your utmost desire is to dedicate your life to serving God.

To summarize, our utmost desire should be

– To praise God

– To dedicate our lives to serve God

– Which is a way of expressing our love for the Lord
