A charge to keep!!!
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor…..

” A charge to keep” refers to a sacred, God given responsibility. The verse above says our sacred responsibility as christians is to preach the good news

This is every believer’s responsibility. Scripture also says in 2 Timothy 4:2 that

Preach the word be instant in season and out of season

Which means, preach the word always

Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations….And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age

This verse from the new testament is also charging christians to preach the salvation message

Accept the gift of salvation today ( Romans 10:9-10) and join christians here on earth preach the good news

How can I apply the word to my life?

1. Pray for grace and strength to obey God’s commands always.
