Yes Lord!!!
John 11:27
“Yes, Lord” she replied
“I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world”

“Yes Lord” means complete submission and commitment to God’s authority, will and timing. That is the message in the verse above

There are times when we find it difficult to do God’s will. In such times it is important to reaffirm our submission and commitment to God.

As a student, worker and ambassador of Christ you may encounter situations where you need to take certain decisions

– Scripture union in school has declared a fast a day before your final examinations start. You cannot study when you are fasting. Do you take the fast?

– Your church has declared a three-day fast. There is a three-day conference at work , you have guests to cater for. Do you take the fast and stay away from breakfast and lunch? Who will entertain your guests?

– You have targeted a friend you want to witness to. She is celebrating her birthday and invites you to lunch. But you are fasting? Do you accept the invitation?

In all three situations you need divine direction.

Matthew 5:16 says

Let your life so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven

Do what will glorify God.
Say yes to the Lord and His will Take the fast and pray for grace and strength to study, entertain your guests and honor your friend’s lunch invasion.

Give a polite reason for not eating and pack your food. You can eat later
