The kingdom of God belongs to the poor in spirit

Revelations 21:3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Matthew 5:3 says
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God.

Why does the kingdom of God belong to the poor in spirit? In my opinion it is because:
– Psalm 51:17 says
God desires a broken and a contrite heart. God can only dwell with people who accept their need for Him
,- Matthew 3:2 says
Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. If you do not repent or turn away from sin you cannot dwell with God in heaven.

The verse from Revelations 21 says
God will come and dwell with man after the second coming of Christ.
If we want to dwell with God then we have to :
– Accept that we need God in our lives
-Then receive the gift of salvation
– Serve God faithfully till the end (Revelations 2:10)

In our day to day activities as students, workers and ministers or ambassadors for Christ, we have to be steadfast, immovable and always abounding in the work of God knowing that our labor is not in vain. ( 1 Corinthians 15:58)
