Take up your cross!!
Matthew 16:24
” If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me”.

“Take up thy cross” refers to a daily voluntary commitment to deny one’ s own needs and submit
entirely to God’s will

That is the message in the verse above. The cross serves as a symbol of victory over sin representing faith and obedience

Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ taking up your cross involves focusing on obeying God’s commands. As you obey God’s commands daily He will grant you your heart’s desire

– In school as you help your friends in need, God also blesses you abundantly and provides your needs

– At work as you help others understand their work schedule you will get a better picture of how to complete your work schedule.

As an ambassador of Christ the more you present the message of salvation to others, the better you understand and enrich your relationship with God

In all three scenarios given above, as you sacrifice to help others or take up your cross, you also receive blessings from the Lord

Matthew 22:39 says
And the second one is like it: ” Love your neighbor as yourself

As the verse immediately above says the second greatest command is “Love your neighbor as yourself ” If you love your neighbor as yourself, you will gladly sacrifice to make him/her happy.
