You are the temple of God
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which ye are.

As a christian, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, the Holy Spirit, who is a member of the Godhead comes to dwell in you. ( Revelations 3:20)

If the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you, then you are the dwelling place of God ( temple of God).

The passage above says if you are the temple of God then you should not defile your body or engage in sins that defile the body like fornication, adultery, taking hard drugs like cocaine, crack etc.

According to the passage , if you do this you attract the wrath of God. The bible says in Matthew 6:11-13 that

…….And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom the power and the glory forever and ever.

This is part of the Lord’s prayer that Jesus taught His disciples. It should be part of every christian’s prayer each morning.

Before you get out into the world, you need to pray for God to protect you and empower to overcome the temptations you may encounter each day.

Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ, the youth are more prone to indulge in sexual sin because the bible specifically says in 2 Timothy 2:22 that

Flee youthful lust….

Adults are not exempted from sexual sin as Deuteronomy 5:18 says
Thou shall not commit adultery.
Let us pray for grace and strength to keep our bodies pure so we do not incur the wrath of God.
God be with you
