The Lord is my Shepherd
Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
The shepherds in biblical times were people who were willing to sacrifice their time, energy and resources to ensure that their sheep were well catered for.
In the verse above, the metaphor of the biblical shepherd was being used to describe God’s concern and care for His children.
If the Lord is your shepherd and keeper, He will provide all you need, food, clothing, shelter and all you need to live comfortably.
The Lord becomes your shepherd when you accept the gift of Salvation and dedicate your life to serving Him
Psalm 37:4 says
Delight thyself also in the Lord ( enjoy serving the Lord); and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
As a student, worker and ambassador for Christ, when you enjoy serving the Lord He shall give you the distinction you need in your examination, the desired recognition in your career and the many souls you desire to win as an ambassador of Christ.
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over your weekly activities and ask God to be the shepherd of your soul and help you excel
Prayer
Make this song your confession
The Lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
Daily He supplies all my needs
Though I walk through the valley
He restoreth my soul
And will let no harm
Befall fall me
Goodness and mercy
Shall follow me
All the days of my life
I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever
In the city where there comes no night.
