Where are the nine?
Luke 17:17-18
Then Jesus answered, Were not ten healed? Where are the nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?

” Where are the nine?” is a question that signifies the fact that , saying thank you or giving thanks to God for the many things He does for us is important to Him

Therefore, it is necessary for instance to thank God in the morning for giving you a sound sleep and giving you the gift of life once more

And in the evening, thank God for keeping you safe throughout the day.

Apart from saying a prayer to thank God we can also thank Him by

– Giving thanks offerings at church, separate from our usual Sunday offering and our tithe

– We can also sing songs of praise with or without instruments as well as a dance

– Even King David put aside , Royal protocol and danced freely to show his appreciation to God

As a student, worker and ambassador of Christ, learn to thank God even for the little victories He gives you each day

– You finished your maths assignment on time this week. You are normally the last to submit. Thank God for this victory

– You finished your weekly reports before lunch on Monday but you usually submit on Tuesday or Wednesday. Thank God for this success

– You finished your sermon for Youth service before Sunday. You normally wake up at dawn on Sundays to complete it. Thank God for this achievement

We can never thank God enough or too much.The whole of Psalm 150 is full of praise and thanksgiving to God. It ends by saying

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord

Why?

Because He has done great things
God be with you
