Give
Like 6:38
Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure pressed down shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete, withdal it shall be measured to you again
According to the world’s standards if you want to get more money and become wealthy, you have to give and spend very little.
Biblical principles for getting rich are different. It is defined in the verse above “give and it shall be given unto you, good measure pressed down shaken together and running over……..”
In my opinion “giving” in the context of the verse above does not only refer to money but includes everything you can give, time, food, clothing, shelter and every other thing you can share.
When you give it does not necessarily mean you will get the same thing back. God might give back to you in areas you are lacking. It could be healing, the peace of God in troubling circumstances, success in an exam, a new contract at work, a new car or house etc.
As a student you must learn to share your pocket money, books and knowledge. As a worker you can share your breakfast or lunch, your knowledge and experience. And as a man or woman of God you must share your money with the afflicted. The sick who need money to pay medical bills, the poor who need to pay their children’s school fees etc
The bible says whatsoever you do to the least of thine brethren, that you do unto me…. (Matthew 25:40-46)
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. As you reflect over your activities in the past week: try and identify areas where you could give to your friends at school, colleagues at work and those you minister to.
2. Pray for grace to be able to give as you have planned
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song
My heart’s desire is to serve you Lord
My heart’s desire is to serve you Lord
So Lord I pray
I pray, I pray
Baptize me with the Pentecost Fire
Amen
