Grace
2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Grace is simply defined as unmerited favour from God. Unmerited because we have done nothing that requires that we receive favor from God.
An example of this can be found in the book of Acts chapter 9 in the bible. Where the Apostle Paul then Saul had a personal encounter with God.
Saul the Pharisee and learned man who persecuted the Christians consistently in his time.
God changed him and made him the thirteenth apostle as some bible scholars called him. He had so many Christians killed and deserved to die himself.
But God favored him and raised him to a place of honor in christiandom: – – – He sent the gospel to the gentiles
– He wrote more than half of the books in the new testament
– God performed many miracles through him ( eg He had a snake bite on an Island but did not die Acts 28:5)
The grace of God is available for us all, like the verse above says, God’s grace is sufficient to for us in every challenge, temptation or trail.
Keep trusting God.
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Reflect on the challenges you encountered in the past week. Ask God for grace to overcome challenges in the coming week
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song
Your grace and mercy brought me through
I am living this moment
Because of you
I want to thank you
And praise you too.
Your grace and mercy brought me through.
Amen
