Man shall not live by bread alone
Matthew 4:4
But He answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God

Every living thing needs food to survive. The body needs “bread” or food like rice, potatoes , meat chicken, drinks etc to stay alive.

Our souls also need nourishment. The word of God is food or ” bread” for the soul. When Jesus said “Man shall not live by bread alone……” , He meant humans do not only need the food items listed above but the word of God as well to be complete and whole.

John 15:7 says
If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will and it shall be done unto you

According to the verse above, the word of God is very important. If we ” abide in the word” Study the word and obey whatever it says, we find favor with God and He blesses us abundantly. It also helps us overcome temptations as Jesus did in (Matthew 4: 1-10).

Dear student, worker and ambassador for Christ, let the word of God guide and direct you in all you do and it shall give you good success (Joshua 1:8)

Suggestions for success
1. Reflect over your activities each day. Determine how you can allow the word of God to direct all your actions.
2. For example how do you relate to your neighbor ( family members, school mates, co-workers, friends in church etc). The bible says love your neighbor as yourself(Mark 12:31)
