Obtain mercy
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace in our time of need

Mercy can be defined as kindness. It is one of God’s major attributes. God is always merciful no matter what you may have done.

Lamentations 3:22 says God’s mercies will never come to an end.

The verse above says we should come boldly to the throne of grace and we will obtain mercy.

Meaning, in our time of need we should not hesitate to come before God through prayer. When we do this we will obtain the mercy or kindness of God.

Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ, when we sin or disobey God we should come before God with a repentant heart and He will forgive and cleanse us ( 1 John 1:9)

The key to obtaining mercy from God is to have a “broken and contrite heart” or a repentant heart God cannot reject ( Psalm 51:17)

1. Reflect over your activities in the past week. Pick out all acts of disobedience towards God and ask for mercy.
