Give sacrificially
Luke 6:38
Give and it shall be given unto you
Good measure pressed down , shaken together and running over, shall men pour into your bosom
In Christianity there are two types of giving:
– Giving to God
– Giving to your neighbor
Both are very important and have rewards. Galatians 6:9 says:
And do not be weary of well- doing, for in due time your shall receive the harvest
As you give for the work of God and to your neighbor in need you open doors into more blessings from God as Luke 6:38 directs.
King David said in 1 Chronicles 21:24 that He would not offer a sacrifice or give to God what would not cost him. Giving should be sacrificial.
In Mark 12:24 Jesus goes to the synagogue and observes people giving their offering to God. Most gave little out their abundance but one poor widow put in just a coin. And Jesus said of all the hundreds of money given, the poor widow’s offering was the best because she gave all she had. The rest gave little out of the hundreds they had.
Giving does not involve only money, you can also give your time, your energy and intelligence as well as your worldly possessions, food clothing, jewellery etc.
Dear student, worker and ambassador of Christ learn to give sacrificially. If you are a good student help others. Do not hesitate to pass-on what you have learnt on the job to other workers. As an ambassador of Christ give all it takes (do not do anything against the word of God) to win souls for the kingdom of God
God be with you
