Mercy said no!!
Isaiah 43:1-2
…..I have called you by name you are mine. When you pass through the water, It shall not overwhelm you..and when you pass through the fire it shall not…( Paraphrased)
” Mercy said No” this phrase means that sometimes though we may be unfaithful to God by not
– Obeying His commandments in the Bible, or
– Refusing to fulfill our mission as ambassadors of Christ
We deserve to be punished but God because of His great love and kindness says no or refuses to punish us.
The passage above says God created us and we are His own, His eye is constantly on us to protect us and shield us from danger
Scripture also says in 1 John 1:9 that
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness
Beloved student, worker and ambassador of Christ, to err is human and to forgive is divine ( it is only God who can truly and completely forgive)
– As a student if you fail to share the gospel with your friends as you are required to as a Christian because
a,) You are shy or do not know verses of Scripture to help you.
b)Pray for mercy and grace to study the word and make a bold effort to share with your friends
– As a worker
a) If you gossip with your friends
b)Instead of being an example to them
c) Pray for grace and strength to be a good example to others by abstaining from gossip
– As an ambassador of Christ
a,) If you fail to meet targets set for your ministry
b) Because of a busy schedule
c) Pray for grace and strength to help you meet targets for your ministry.
God will be faithful to forgive you and help you excel
God be with you
Suggestions for success
1. Pray for grace and strength to excel in all you do.
Song for meditation
Let this song be your confession and prayer
Mercy said no
I will never let you go
I will never let you slip away
You don’t have to be afraid
Mercy said no
Sin will never take control
Life and death stood face to face
Darkness trying to take my joy away
Thank you Jesus
But mercy said NO!
Amen
