YOUTH AWAKENING 2020

Youth Awakening 2020 is aimed at giving a wake-up call to the youth. It is time for the youth to realize that they are:

• Our hope for the future
• Our leaders tomorrow
• Our ambassadors for Christ

In the next 40 – 50 years, most of the adults around today would not be around, that is if the Lord tarries and does not come by that time. The youth of today would be left to manage the affairs of economies, the church and the world as a whole.

Ephesians 5:14-16 Says:

Wherefore He saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Like the passage says, the youth need to arise from their sleep. They are asleep because they are not fully aware of the responsibilities ahead of them.

Once they become aware that they are:

• Our hope for tomorrow
• The leaders of tomorrow
• Ambassadors for Christ

They can prepare to take up their responsibilities as our hope for tomorrow, they need to learn in school to prepare them for their future jobs and learn how to manage their lives and keep life on this earth going.

As the leaders of tomorrow, they need to study the life and responsibilities of leaders in the schools, in institutions and companies, in the government, and leaders in the church.

To be good ambassadors for Christ, they need to attend church services regularly, engage in all church activities, and make soul winning or evangelism an important part of their lives. They can use tracts, social media, and one-on-one conversations to win souls.

It is also important that they study the word of God thoroughly to know what message to preach as they go on evangelism.

2 Timothy 2:15 Says:

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, know the word of God, and how to apply it to solve life’s issues.

Youth Awakening would be a youth programme that will be organized once every year to remind the youth of their responsibilities. As you leave here, spread the word about Youth Awakening to get the program next year.

I will like to end with this:

You are the light of the world, so let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven.
