To Everything There is a Season
To Everything There is a Season
By Evangeline Unity Esaaba Folson
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven
This verse is linked closely to Habakkuk 2:3
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, want for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Some people use these two verses to create chaos in Christiandom.
The vision or expectation from God will be met in His time if it falls in line will be met in His time if it fails in line with His commandments and promises.
God will not kill your enemy because he hurt you. Why?
- The 10 commandments clearly says thou shall not kill
- God is love, He loves everyone and His ultimate desire is to have all mankind repent and join the heavenly kingdom
- He will not kill your enemy because, it will rob him/her of the chance to repent and go to heaven. He will go to hell.
Therefore it is opt to say that there is a time and season for everything once it falls in line with God’s plan what do we do them as we want for the time and season for god to move in our lives? We must
- Pray for patience
Isaiah 40:31
Ephesians 6:18
- Keep obeying the commands
Joshua 1:8
Deuteronomy 28:13
Matthew 6:33
- Thank God in advance
Psalm 150:6
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Pray for patience
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall walk and not faint.
It is very difficult to wait patiently for the move of God when you have a pressing need. Your children have been sent home from school because.
You have not paid the school fees and you are still praying and trusting God. You have asked few friends but no one is willing to help.
But the verse says they that “wait upon the Lord”
- Pray, study the word and fast if you can and be patient.
A writer once wrote
“Patience” is a virtue that comes a lot of “waiting” or ‘wait” and that is exactly what the Bible tells us to do.
Wait upon the Lord.
Ephesians 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
The verse above is directing us to pray without ceasing or pray always Talking to God through prayer should be like talking to a close friend or your earthly father.
Tell Him everything and seek His approval for all you do including asking Him for patience to wait for His turning and move at all times.
Keep obeying God’s commands
Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
According to the verse above when you study the word and live by it God will cause you to prosper and give you good success at the appropriate time or in His time.
Deuteronomy 28:13
Also confirms that when you study God’s word and live by it, He will make you the head or will cause you to prosper and give you good success.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these thing shall be added unto you.
Meaning, once you seek to do the will God always or live to please them every time you obtain what you need or God will bless you with all you need.
Thank God in advance
Psalm 150:6
Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord
When you learn to praise God at all times, it is easier to get what you need from Him.
Psalm 10:4 says
Enter His gates with thanksgiving in your hearts and His court with praise.
Thanksgiving and praise gets you closer to God and it make it easier to obtain what you need.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks for this is the will of god in Christ Jesus concerning you.
God desires that we praise Him at all times, good or bad times. It is not easy to thank God in bad times therefore begin to make praise and thanksgiving a habit. Psychologists say if you repeat an action several times each day for a week or more it becomes a habit.
Praise and thank god until, He moves on your behalf.
