You have a destiny!!
Jeremiah 1:5
Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, I knew you…. I appointed you prophet….. (Paraphrased)

Your destiny is God’s purpose and plan for your life. It is your God ordained future. Each of us also has a role to play in the spreading of God’s word about salvation.

The verse above says the Prophet Jeremiah’s destiny was determined by God even before he was born.

Unlike the Prophet Jeremiah, we may not have a dramatic encounter with God to reveal our destiny. God directs us to determine our destiny through our gifts and talents.

Just like the story in the bible of a man travelling who gave one servant 5 talents, 2 to another and 1 to the last. ( Matthew 25:14-30)

The first two used their talents and made profit while the last one did not use his at all. Probably because he felt he had been cheated. 1 talent? Why not 2?

We should not be dazzled with the glamour that goes with the pulpit, the work of a Prophet or the glamour of a singing ministry.

All God requires from us is to fulfil our destiny with whatever talent we have been given.

Matthew 16:18
……. You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church.

This verse from the new testament gives another dramatic way Jesus confers The Apostle Peter’s destiny on him

You also have a destiny you must fulfill!!
