You are a new creation
Psalm 51:10-12
Create in me a clean heart, O God: and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free Spirit.
The passage above is King David’s prayer of repentance and plea for forgiveness. Every Christian should have this attitude when he/she realizes that he has sinned. The bible says you are a new creation in Christ therefore you should not entertain sin in your life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things have become new.
Always remember that you are a new creation in Christ. Ask God to give you the grace and strength to put away or stay away from sin.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Be sure you are born again and received Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you are not sure, contact a Pastor in a church in your community for direction.
2. Each morning ask God to help you live as a new creation in Christ.
3. Stay away or put away anything in your life that you know is not of God.
4. Let it be your dream and desire to live as a new creation in Christ. Once you have the desire, the Spirit of God within you will help you.
Prayer
Omnipotent God, I thank you for the gift of salvation. Help me live as a new creation in Christ. Amen.
