What shall I render (give) to my God?
Psalm 116:12
What will I give to the Lord ( in return) for all His benefits towards me?

God has given us so much. He has given us the gift of life, the gift of salvation and all it’s benefits and many other good things in life.

He even directs things in our lives such the bad or unpleasant events eventually benefits us. ( Romans 8:28)

What can we give in return as the verse above says? We cannot out-give God but we can have a grateful heart at all times and dedicate our lives to serving Him.

The bible says in Philippians 1:21 that

For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

This statement made by the Apostle Paul shows complete devotion and gratitude to God.

All Christians should have the same attitude.

Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon

This verse from the new testament defines the kind of life we need to have. All our strength, resources and time should be dedicated to serving God.

We cannot put our personal desires and needs before that of God. Matthew 6:33 says

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

Winning souls is very important to God, make it your major assignment each day. A word here, a comment there and a kind deed are all little things you can do to promote the gospel.

1. Seek to please God first in all you do.

What shall I render to my God
For all His mercy’s store?
I’ll take the gifts, He hath bestowed
And humbly ask for more
