What a friend we have in Jesus
Proverbs 18:24
There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother

A friend is someone you have ties of love and affection with. It is someonr who has shown and proved the willingness to help or assist you at all times.

The bible says a friend loves at all times.

Meaning in good and bad times a friend is ready to love, help and encourage you.

John 15: 13 says
Greater love has no man than this, a man lay down His love for His friends.

Jesus is the only friend that can lay down His life for His friends. He is the only friend that can stick closer than a brother like the verse from Proverbs says.

You can develop a friendship with Jesus when you accept the gift of Salvation. Then you read and study the bible and pray each day to get closer to Him

John 13:23
There was one leaning on the bosom of Jesus, the apostle Jesus loved ( The Apostle John).

This verse from the new testament says the Apostle John was the disciple Jesus loved. Perhaps because He was close to Him.

There are other verses in the new testament that gives the same message. I believe the message Jesus wanted to bring across is that it is very important to have a good friend in life. Who is your friend?

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Make Jesus your closest and best friend. It is also important to have human friends as well.

What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
O what peace we often forfeit
O what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer
