We will give account of what we do
Ecclesiastes 12:14
For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

During my secondary school days I heard a message that tried to describe how God would judge us. The preacher said when we stand before God everything we did would be shown on a TV or video screen for everyone to see. The lies we told, the evil thoughts and plans, lustful thoughts etc. There is no account of the details on how God would judge us in the bible. This might be someone’s imagination.

But we can learn something from it. God sees everything we do, nothing is hidden from Him. It can also help us to be cautious about what we do or think. You would not want to be embarassed when your thoughts and actions are displayed for everyone to see.

Matthew 12:36
But I say to you, That every idle word that men shall speak; they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement

This verse also reminds us to be careful what we say. There is a Sunday school song that says:
Be careful little mouths what you say
There is a Saviour up above and He is looking down in love
So be careful little mouths what you say.
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Apply Philippians 4:8 to all you think
Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Almighty God, thank you for blessing and keeping me each day. Help me to glorify your name in all I do. Amen.
