We have a destiny we shall fulfill!!
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because; the Lord hath appointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

Destiny is God’s purpose for your life. It is God’s ordained plan for your life. It is His predetermined future for every being here on earth.

The verse above gives detailed information on the Prophet Isaiah’s destiny or God’s purpose for his life. It is basically the same for every Christian. Perhaps, the major difference for every Christian is how, when and where you are to fulfill your mission.

We are all to :

-Preach the good news,

– Bind up the broken- hearted

-Proclaim liberty to the captives

-Opening of prison to them that are bound.

Scripture also says in Jeremiah 1:5 that

Before you were formed in your mother’s womb I knew you… (Paraphrased)

You have a destiny you must fulfill just like the Prophet Isaiah and the Prophet Jeremiah.

Matthew 28:19-20
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you to the end of the world. Amen.

This passage from the new testament also confirms those quoted above about our destiny as Christians.

You have a destiny to fulfill and you must pray for direction and set out a plan to fulfill it.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1.Desire and determine to fulfill your destiny.

2. Pray for grace and strength to fulfill it.
