Watch and pray
Psalm 34:10
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing

To watch and pray brings to mind the picture of a farmer trying to plant his crops in rows. As he plants, he tries to straighten the rows.

In a similar way, Christians aim at living a life that glorifies God. As you move on in life, you have to keep praying to keep yourself from falling into temptation. Watch and pray.

The Psalmist in the verse quoted above says when you “seek God” or watch and pray for direction in your life, you shall have all you need.

Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak .

This verse from the new testament, re-emphasizes the importance of watching and praying. It will prevent us from falling into temptation.

Every morning pray that God will guide and help you fulfill your agenda for the day.

1. Try and write down your prayer topics so that you can remember to thank God when they are answered.
