Wait on the Lord!!
Isaiah 40:31
They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint

The phrase “Wait on the Lord” is normally used when one needs directions on what to do in a challenging situation.

Or one needs directions to take a decision concerning a pressing issue

In this context ” wait on the Lord” means

– Search the word for answers concerning your situation e.g

– You are a young person searching for directions on what career to choose.

– The Bible says God has given each of us talents

– If you are good with words or public speaking try salesmanship

– If you are good in mathematics try actuarial since related to the insurance industry

Then you pray for grace and strength to excel in your chosen career

Like the verse above says, those who wait on the Lord ( through study of the word and prayer) shall do extraordinary and supernatural things

Tehnically , if you run you should grow weary but the verse above says those wait on the Lord shall run and not grow weary.

Ephesians 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all preserverance and supplication for all saints

This verse from the new testament says the key to receiving what you need as you “wait on the Lord” is to pray always not only for yourself but for your Christian brethren as well.
