Wait on the Lord
Isaiah 40:31
They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint

There is a song that says

We will wait upon the Lord
In His presence is fullness of joy
And our strength will be restored
As we wait upon the Lord.

Why do we wait on the Lord? According to the verse and song above, we wait on the Lord because in His presence:
– We find joy ( there is fullness of joy)
– Our strength is restored or we gain new strength.

How do we wait on the Lord? The bible says in:
– Psalm 100:4 that enter His gates with Thanksgiving in your heart and His courts with praise. ( This is how we get into God’s presence)
-Joshua 1:8 that
This book of law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may be careful to do all it says. For then you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success ( As we meditate on the word of God and determine to obey what it says in His presence) God will cause us to prosper and have good success.

Matthew 11:28
Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest…

This verse from the new testament says those that are tired and stressed should come into the presence of God, He will give them rest or restore their strength.

As you labor as an ambassador of Christ, learn to find time to dwell in the presence of God to restore your joy and strength.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Make time to dwell in the presence of God daily. It is very important. It sustains you and keeps your ministry alive.
