Daily Word 🇬🇭

Tomorrow?
Joshua 3:5
Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow I will do wonderful things among you

Procastation is the thief of time says the old proverb. Meaning, people who keep rescheduling important decisions to tomorrow are often overtaken by events.

For example if you keep telling yourself I will accept the gift salvation or start my ministry tomorrow, you might realize that you might end up up taking these decisions when you are too old and cannot do much for God.

The only one who can procrastinate is God because He holds the future. So can give a direction to be implemented tomorrow like He did in the verse above.

The songwriter said

Tomorrow? Who promised you tomorrow?

Which means as humans it is unwise to keep rescheduling decisions for tomorrow, because it might never come for you.

According to Matthew 6:34

There is no need to worry about what will happen tomorrow when you are trusting in a God who holds the future.

Take all the important steps in your life today and leave the shaping of your future to the God who holds the future.

Hebrews 3:15-17
… Today, as you hear the word of God, harden not your heart…

This verse from the new testament cautions us not to procrastinate about accepting the gift of salvation.

Do not waste time, accept it now and join the other believers all over the world win souls for the kingdom of God.

The harvest is indeed ready but the laborers are few. (Matthew 9:37-38)
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Do not procrastinate, do all you can today.

Song for meditation

Let this song be your confession and prayer

Jesus, says here I stand
Won’t you please let me in
And you say tomorrow
Jesus says I am He who supplies all your needs
And you say I know
But tomorrow

Tomorrow
I will give my life tomorrow
I thought about today
Tomorrow who promised you tomorrow?
Better choose the Lord today
For tomorrow
Very well might be too late
Amen
