Thy will be done
Isaiah 55:11
My word shall not go and come back void. But it shall accomplish all that it was sent to do
The verse above emphasizes on the power of the word of God. It fulfills whatever it is meant to do or fulfills God’s promises and will.
For example, if the word says:
– ……by His stripes you were healed. ( Isaiah 53:5) Then it means healing has already been provided by God. If you believe and confess it, it will be manifested in your life.
– If the word says
….God will supply all your need by His riches in glory by Christ Jesus ( Philippians 4:19). Then it means God has already made provision for all you need. If you confess this word and trust Him, then you will receive all you need.
There are several other promises and blessings in the word which states God’s will for us in every situation and challenge we encounter.
In times when you need direction or have requests search for His will concerning this issue and pray for His will to be done.
Matthew 6:10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
This verse from the new testament is an excerpt from the Lord’s prayer. It is asking for God’s will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven.
The bible says in Revelations 4: 10- 11
That the four and twenty elders in heaven never cease to worship God.
This is God’s will, that we praise and worship Him always. Let us make praise and worship an important item on our agenda for each day and we will be blessed
In Joshua 3:5 the bible says
…..sanctify yourself for tomorrow I will do wonders among you.
Meaning God hates sin and the presence of sin in our lives prevents God from moving in our lives. Let us pray always for the grace and strength to stay away from sin.
God be with you.
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Study the word to know God’s will and pray for His will to be done in your life.
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this hymn
Thy kingdom come O Lord
Thy rule Oh Christ begin
Break with thy iron rod
The tyrannies of sin
